43. My Legacy

For our final creative project in creative advertising, we were given a three part project to help us discover the legacy that we want to leave on this earth. While thinking about death is sometimes dark and scary, it helps put life into perspective. By placing ourselves at the end, we are able to better imagine our future and take action in the now. Grasping the fact that leaving this earth is inevitable gives more appreciation for the small amount of time that we are given to walk and breathe amongst others.

Through deep inner reflection and writing our own eulogies from the perspectives of loved ones, I decided that my mission statement in life is to:

Inspire others to embrace their best selves and confidently chase their dreams by fostering genuine connections, spreading joy, celebrating life’s adventures, and illuminating the world with warmth, love, and authenticity.

Through this piece of art, I aim to capture the lives of those I hope to touch by being a ray of light in their journey. These are my sunshine people, and I strive to be theirs in return. Though I may not yet know all the faces and souls who will shape my life or whom I will impact, my mission is clear: to bring light into each day and embody what it means to be a sunshine person.
